Saint Nicholas Episcopal Church is located at 1072 Ridge Avenue, in Elk Grove Village. The pantry was begun by Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, which merged with St. Nicholas in 2007. The parish decided to continue that food pantry in order to provide assistance to local families facing tough times, a need which has grown over the past two and a half years. The pantry typically serves between 50 and 60 people each month, and, like the parish itself, its doors are open to anyone needing support. The food pantry is regularly in need of donations. While any non-perishable food items are appreciated, the following items that are in particular demand: · Breakfast Cereal · Bags of Rice · Canned Fruit · Canned Tuna · Canned Pasta · Crackers and Snack Items · Paper Goods (toilet paper, paper towels, tissue)
